The routine wasn’t going to change until fate dealt him a hand he couldn’t refuse the following year, but this was 2009.
He was sitting at a card table in a Macau casino. He wore a loud, multicolored jacket with the logo of L.A. Café, a seedy Manila bar and brothel and was surrounded by an entourage of young men; another casino, another country.
Van der Sloot was asked by a fellow gambler, as to why he continued to talk to the media, after all he’d been burned by a Dutch journalist. The journalist had used hidden-camera footage, which appeared to reveal Joran van der Sloot confessing to disposing of Natalie Holloway’s body in Aruba.
There was no raise of an eyebrow or query as to how he was recognized by his fellow gambler when van der Sloot replied very matter-of-factly,
“Because they give me money.”
My ears pricked, “Here’s a young man with a possible gambling addiction, probable sociopathic tendencies and a lack of emotional connection and that’s just for a start.” What is going on here?
Four years earlier, American Natalee Ann Holloway was vacationing on the Dutch Antilles island of Aruba in the Caribbean; teenagers letting their hair down, celebrating after school. It was an unofficial Alabama high-school graduation trip. Natalee was in the company of more than 120 fellow students and just seven chaperones staying at the Holiday Inn. They thought they were safe in this popular holiday destination.
It was the teenagers last night out before they were due to return to the US with the rest of their lives to unfold before them, however the fates were to step into the picture for one eighteen year-old.
She was not to go home to her family, nor was she to have a future beyond the public’s interest in her disappearance and the mystery surrounding it.
Natalee Holloway met up with the Dutch-born Joran van der Sloot at a card table in a gambling venue that night. She was a tourist out for fun on her last night in Aruba. He was of a similar age and a local, his family having relocated from the Netherlands when he was just a toddler.
The last time that Natalee was seen that fateful night was at 1.30am on 30th May 2005 and in the company of Joran van der Sloot. Despite years of investigation, arrests and re-arrests over the next five years, no-one was ever held to account for her disappearance and a body was never found.
By March 2010, in need of money to finance his gambling habit, van der Sloot contacted Natalee’s family offering to tell them the location of their daughter’s body, but for a price. An undercover sting was set up in Aruba; a combination of cash and an international wire transfer of $25,000 deposit went into the pocket of Joran van der Sloot.
Authorities back in the US were alerted by the undercover negotiators following the payment of the deposit, however it took three months for an arrest warrant for fraud to be issued by the FBI. Interpol was alerted in June, but van der Sloot had already spent the money at the tables by then.
The information he had provided Natalee’s family led to nothing. It was just another one of the lies, which fell so easily from his lips and Natalee’s remains were not found.
During those three months van der Sloot travelled to Argentina, Colombia, then on to Peru for a poker tournament where another young woman he met at the gambling table, awaited her fate.
Before we go further, we can make an astrology enquiry of the charts of Natalee Ann Holloway, victim; Joran Andreas Petrus van der Sloot, alleged murderer and his father Paulus who was suspected of being involved in the disposal of the victim’s body.
Using the perspective of the heavens at the time Natalee and Joran were last seen together in Aruba on 30th May, 2005, we generate bi-wheels for all three. Note here that we do not know the time of day/night, which any of these three individuals were born and so the Moon placement in the outer wheels is within 5-10 degrees of accuracy and so we will not rely on their input for our interpretation.
This is an astrology enquiry, not a scientific one. We can only suggest possibilities within the framework of classic astrology. The planetary positions are correct in so far as the dates on the public record are accurate.
The first bi-wheel is of the victim, Natalee. The inner wheel is the time that she was last seen and the outer wheel is the planetary positions on the day of her birth. We can share how she came to meet her fate on that night in Aruba, Dutch Antilles; a story according to the heavens.
Referring primarily to the inner wheel, having a timed event we can share the importance of the angles with the planets highlighted in turquoise immediately having their input.
- Mars at the ascendant is an indicator of violence in forensic astrology
- Pluto at the MC is a death indicator (loss of ultimate power).
- Venus at the IC in exact opposition denotes the female victim.
Still in the inner wheel of the event, highlighted yellow (in the 12th house of the mind) is the planet Uranus conjunct Moon, which equates as sudden changes in mood/emotional swings. These two planets are also in tension aspect with the Sun-Mercury highlighted dark blue.
Apart from the emotional mood swings there are swings in communication and plenty of Gemini tricks. Sun and Mercury are both in the zodiac sign of Gemini. For us in forensic terms, that’s lying, manipulation and trickery.
Highlighted in green is the Lunar nodal axis. We have highlighted this as it aligns exactly with Natalee’s nodal axis in the outer wheel. This can be interpreted as a karmic event, a large public event and also indicate a mother who didn’t let her daughter’s death waste for nothing. We join in keeping this focus alive.
Following the highlighted yellow planets we can see by the yellow line that there is a connection to the planet Saturn in Natalee’s chart (highlighted in red).
This indicates that she was killed (for us Saturn is the grim reaper and Father Time) as a result of these ‘emotional swings’. We can also offer the interpretation that her alleged killer is, in all probability, a lunatic i.e. deeply affected by the Moon’s phases.
Natalee’s planet Pluto (also highlighted in red) is in quindecile aspect to the nodal axis. Her death will become an obsession to the public. We know this to be a fact by just looking at the amount of media coverage over the intervening years.
Note the red line intersecting Natalee’s Saturn and extending to intersect with the Sun on the outer wheel. This line would indicate a probable location of her body if it were to be flipped vertically and superimposed over a map of the location where she was last seen.
The second bi-wheel is Joran van der Sloot the alleged killer. We can see highlighted in turquoise that his natal planet Uranus (sudden changes) at the top of the bi-wheel and in the outer wheel aligns exactly with Pluto (power) in the inner wheel and in exact opposition to Venus (female) in the inner wheel.
This is the first of our forensic indicators that indicate that we can ask the question of the heavens and get an affirmative reply. This eighteen year-old male killed Natalee Holloway.
There were sudden changes in power between these two; he overpowered the female. With Pluto being the death indicator, we can even suggest that this male would have felt empowered by killing a young woman.
Joran van der Sloot’s natal chart shows tension between Pluto and Venus; he would struggle with the balance of power with women his entire life. Not knowing his home life as a young child, we cannot attempt to interpret this issue any deeper.
The second indicator is Sun/Mars in the natal chart of Joran van der Sloot in direct opposition to the planet Neptune in the inner wheel. This is the fantasy in his mind of his masculine power; a confused mind accentuated by intense energy and possibly even a drug influence involved.
The third bi-wheel is that of Joran van der Sloot’s father, Paulus. He was a member of the legal profession in Aruba; was arrested at one point; he even sued the authorities for wrongful arrest (he lost on appeal).
The heavens indicate that Paulus van der Sloot was not likely to have been involved in the aftermath of disposing of the body, however both he and his son have Saturn retrograde charts, which doesn’t say much for his male mentoring of his son. We can understand some of the power struggle the boy had, due to this lack of mentoring and guidance.
The accused’s father appears to share the emotional mood swings, as his planet Pluto (power) is in quindecile aspect to the Moon-Uranus of the event. With his Neptune on the blue line with the nodal axis he would appear that his relationship with the public was a fantasy for him.
Did Joran van der Sloot’s father have a love-hate relationship with the public?
Paulus van der Sloot didn’t get to witness the next chapter in his son’s life. Paulus died on the tennis court in Aruba, just a month before the extortion sting. His eldest son didn’t hang around, nor mourn for long.
We continue the story in Lima, Peru…pt.2
